A Message From the 2020 PNCWA Conference Chair

Greetings Pacific Northwest Clean Water Professionals!

Now more than ever, it’s clear that our collective work to protect and preserve public health through clean water is essential, and I want to take a moment to thank each of you for your commitment, especially the operators and field crews.

While we don't know what the next six months will hold (or even the next week!), what we do know is that as an industry we are resilient, and learning and collaboration are critical components of resilience. Just like our host city, Spokane, who had to rebuild after a devastating fire, we too will come out of this wiser and more resilient than before. In essence, we will be Bridging the Past to ReEnvision our Future.

That being said, the safety of our PNCWA constituents is our primary concern, and we're exploring all options to provide the most value to attendees while keeping everyone safe. We encourage you to check the PNCWA website regularly for COVID-related updates.

In the meantime, the PNCWA2020 Conference Committee is still finding ways to make this year's conference just as fun and educational as ever! Specifically, we’re looking forward to delivering a strong technical program, a screening of Brave Blue World, celebrating new solutions with a Monday Night Football tailgate-themed Exhibitor Reception, a Water for People bike ride fundraiser, hosting the second group of InFLOW participants, a dynamic lineup of speakers for the Opening General Session, and many networking opportunities that may come in new formats.

On behalf of the PNCWA2020 Conference Committee, we thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to connecting with you in September! You can find the most updated information on the conference website.

Take care,

Brittany Burch
