Pictures from the 35th Annual Eastern Oregon Operators Conference

The Eastern Oregon Operators Section of PNCWA and the Eastern Oregon Subsection of AWWA held their annual Operators Conference in Pendleton April 3–5, 2017. This annual conference is in its 35th year and still going strong. There were 122 attendees, 36 vendors, 47 speakers and 65 different topics/classes in four tracks over the three days.

Attendees had a few competitions to keep themselves entertained during their breaks.  They could do Top Ops, Meter Madness, Ops Challenge or the Equipment Rodeo for fun and prizes. AWWA also sponsored a “Best Tasting Water” competition that was won by the City of Halfway. The Section/Subsection also sponsored Awards for Water Operator of the Year, won by Terry Harris of Vale, OR; Wastewater Operator of the Year, won by Gary Chamberlin with the City of Richland, OR; Water Project of the Year, won by the City of Enterprise, OR; and Wastewater Project of the Year, won by the City of Prineville, OR. In addition, we had great food, fun and networking. This is a great conference; make plans to join us next year in Ontario, OR!
