World Water Day 2023: Wednesday, March 22
World Water Day 2023 is about accelerating change to solve the water and sanitation crisis worldwide. Water is a core element of our survival. Yet, in our PNCWA area, it’s easy to take water and wastewater for granted — we don’t think about the infrastructure, people, and administration that strives to deliver clean water anytime we want. While throughout the world, there are billions of people that don’t have access to clean, safe drinking water or sanitary services.
March 22 - World Water Day – was first celebrated in 1993 by the United Nations to bring global attention to water-related issues that humans face in almost every country. The water crisis impacts all major global problems, from health to hunger, gender equality to jobs, and industry to education. However, today there is an urgent need to accelerate change.
Water and Sanitation affect everyone, so we need everyone to take action. You can play your part – Be The Change.

On this day you can take action to change water consumption, such as turning off the tap when you are not using it.

On this day, you can wash your hands regularly throughout the day to avoid spreading germs.

On this day, you can reach out to our local water and wastewater providers and thank them for their devoted service.
